Edgar Ivan Garcia

Visitation for Edgar Garcia, 35, of Portales, will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Mon., June 24th and Tues., June 25, 2019 at Wheeler Mortuary.  Following cremation his remains will be interred in the Portales Cemetery.

Edgar Ivan Garcia was born Oct. 9, 1983 in Chihuahua, MX to the home of Cruz Olivia Espinoza and Jose Angel Garcia and died June 19, 2019 in Portales, NM.  Edgar came to Portales as a boy, and graduated from Portales High School in 2003.  He was a very caring and loving son, brother and uncle.  Edgar was very careful to remember everyone's birthdays.  He enjoyed listening to music of all kinds.  His favorite foods were pizza, chile and chili rellenos.

He is survived by his mother, Cruz Olivia Espinoza of Portales and his father, Jose Angel Garcia of Clovis; a brother and sister-in-law, Luis and Criselda Garcia of Portales; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cecilia and Norman White of Fort Drum, NY, Adriana and Raul Ornelas of Portales, Karla Garcia Espinoza of Minneapolis, MN and Juana Garcia of Reno, NV; 13 nieces and nephews, Iris Garcia, Alexis Garcia, Alex Garcia, Mayra Ibarra, Julian Garcia, Kylie White, Esteban White, Ashley Flores, Caleb Ornelas, Sara Ornelas, Enrique Garcia-Hamblin, Nina Garcia-Horne and Jonas Garcia-Horne; and a great-niece, Skylar Garcia.
