Eusebio "Johnny" H. Mendoza

Graveside services for Eusebio Mendoza, age 47, of Portales, will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., July 10, 2019 in the Portales Cemetery with Jason Kizer, a close friend, officiating.  JOhn Mendoza, Jose Mendoza, Felix Mendoza, Jason Kizer, Benny Mendoza and Chris Mendoza will serve as pallbearers.

Eusebio Hernandez Mendoza was born Jan. 5, 1972 in San Angelo, TX to the home of Emilia (Hernandez) and Servando Mendoza and died July 6, 2019 in Portales, NM.  He was a 1993 graduate of Portales HIgh School.  As an adult he had worked at the local peanut processing plants, and as a custodian at Eastern New Mexico University.  For the past several years he had been unable to work due to his health conditions.  Johnny, as he was known to his family and friends enjoyed fishing, but mainly he enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends.  He was a great jokester, and like playing practical jokes on his family.  He always enjoyed his little cousins, and like to play with them.

He is survived by his aunt, Alejandra Medoza, who was like a mother to him; a brother, Rafael Hernandez; three sisters, Margie Trevino, Rosie Caruthers and Leslie Hernandez; and his cousins, Martin Mendoza and family, Juan Mendoza, Jose A. Mendoza and family, Gloria Rodriguez and family, Benito Mendoza and family; and his very close friend, Jason Kizer.
