Faye (Gilmore) Henry

Graveside services for Faye Henry, 94, of Portales, will be at 2:00 PM, Sat., Aug. 31, 2019 in the Floyd Cemetery with Bill Turnbow officiating.

Faye Henry was born Sept. 27, 1924 in Girard, TX to the home of Gertrude (Cravens) and Ernest Gilmore and passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, Aug. 28, 2019 in Portales.  She was married to Bud Henry early in 1943.  The couple had one daughter, Trudy.

Faye loved visiting with all her family and friends.  In her early years she worked long days on the farm with her husband and daughter, and from that came many great stories that she loved telling.  Those stories will be cherished for years and years to come.  She loved going dancing and going out to eat with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud Henry, her only daughter Trudy Grimes, her son-in-law Jackie Grimes, her sister, Gladys Bagwell, and her two brothers Monroe and Jack Gilmore.

Surviving her are her grandchildren Selina Gonzales, Lach Grimes and his wife, Jackie, her great grandchildren Hailey, Rashel, Brody and Desmond and three great-great grandchildren, Kennadi, Landri, and Charli.
