Tina Teresa (Villanueva) Montoya

The Rosary for Tina Montoya, 46, of Portales, will be at 9:00 AM, Fri., Sept. 6, 2019 at St. Helen Catholic Church.  The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM by Fr. Francisco Carbajal.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Ramon Nevarez, Mario Romero, Dustin Davis, Marcus Armijo, Luis Villanueva, Nathaniel Armijo, serving as pallbearers.

Tina Teresa Montoya was born Nov. 1, 1972 in Portales to the home of Adelina (Lucero) and Ernest Villanueva, and died Aug. 31, 2019 in Lubbock, TX.  She had lived in Portales her entire life.  She was employed as a home health care worker.  On Oct. 12, 2007 in Portales, she was married to Samuel Montoya.  Her greatest joy was from being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel of the home; three daughters, Cassandra Baeza, Smantha Baeza and Mariah Davis and husband, Dustin all of Portales; six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Arianna and Aubrey Armijo, Devin Ceniceros, D. J. Carpio and Madison Davis; her parents, Adelina and Ernest Villanueva of Portales; and her sister, Josie Nevarez of Portales.
