Billie Ruth (Hall) Roberts

A funeral service for Billie Ruth Hall Roberts, 95, of Portales will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow in the Floyd Cemetery with Tyler Roberts, Ben Roberts, Travis Reynolds, Derek Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds and Charlie Roberts serving as pallbearers. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 P.M., on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Wheeler Mortuary.

Billie Roberts passed away on April 4, 2021, in Farwell, Texas.  She was born on January 21, 1926, in Haskell, Texas, to the home of Lavada Franklin (Benton) and Theodore Benam Hall.  She graduated from Dublin High School in Dublin, Texas.  She married Audie Roberts on October 2, 1948, in Dublin, Texas.  They were married for 62 years before he passed away in 2015. 

Billie was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  She was a hardworking person and liked helping and giving to others.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and loved to cook.  She was the cook at Roosevelt General Hospital for 17 years when she retired in 1989.  Billie loved crossword puzzles, playing dominoes and especially liked playing SkipBo.  Mrs. Roberts really loved cats and also was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her children, Russell Roberts of Portales, Tricia Young & husband Ronnie of Clovis, Sharon Reynolds & husband Tony of Mountainair and Larry Roberts & wife Lori of Portales; 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Ray Hall & wife Oneta of Lubbock; a daughter-in-law, Linda Roberts of Hale Center, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, her parents, two sons, Gary and Ronnie Roberts, a son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, one brother, two sisters, one grandson and one great grandson.
