Carol Jean Johnson, age 71, beloved Mother, Gram, Sister, most of all Friend went into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Monday, January 30, 2023.

Carol was born May 17, 1951 in Roswell, NM to William Carl Clements and Imogene Clements. She had two brothers Jimmy and his wife, Dian Clements and Danny and his wife Mary Clements. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, as well as, a sister Debra Lynn Clements, and a Granddaughter Shyann Leigh Johnson. Carol married her best friend Clyde Johnson, April 1, 1967 and were blessed with three boys. They settled in the Portales area where she worked for NM Children Youth and Families for 24 years making many friends and helping all who entered her office. Carol with Clyde taught 3rd grade Wednesday night bible class at Faith Christian Family Church in Clovis for 9 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, creating memories and telling old stories with her family and most of all keeping her great grandchildren and taking them to McDonalds after a hard day at school.

In addition to her husband of 55 years Clyde of their home, Carol is survived by her children Brad and wife Cheryl Johnson of Portales, NM Rodney Johnson of Ackerly, TX and Shawn and wife Renee Johnson of Portales, NM and her precious fur babies. Carol was blessed with eight Grandchildren. Corey Johnson of Portales, NM Josh and wife Ariel Johnson of Portales, NM Travis and wife Tana Johnson of Post, TX, Shanna and partner Jamee of Muleshoe, TX, Shania and husband Kurt Bowels of Portales, NM Dakota and wife Jessi Johnson of Herford, TX, Dylan and wife Brianna Johnson of Sayre, OK. Six Wonderful Great Grandchildren Collin, Keaton, Corbin, Cailee, Gaige and Gracie.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
