Pallbearers will be Charles Bennett, Ferron Lucero, Jr., Austin Wall, David Schmitt, Ryan Belcher, Robert Gillespie, Kolt Bennett, Jerrad Hofstetter and Taos Mullins.  Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Jones and all of Cash’s close friends.

Cash Dakota Mullins was born October 9, 2002, in Clovis, New Mexico to the home of Alicea (Bennett) and Justin Mullins. Cash left his earthly home on the morning of August 27th, 2023, in Shallowater, Texas.  The family home was in Portales for several years. Cash attended school in Dora through his eighth-grade year.  Following eighth-grade year, he moved to Happy, Texas. Cash and his family moved to Shallowater, Texas in 2018.  At the age of 17, he completed his high school education, receiving his diploma from Austin Online High School.

From a very early age Cash displayed a natural mechanical talent and ability to repair many different things.  He always enjoyed working outdoors, especially helping his granddad, Charles.  By the time that he was 16 years old, he was working on the farm with Ryan Belcher.  From there he continued farm work with Casey Jones.  For the past year, Cash had been employed as a Precision Agricultural Technician and salesman for Wiley Implement Company.

Cash accepted Christ as his savior several years ago at an event being held by the ministry group his grandfather Charles is a part of called, Catch the Vision.  From that time on, he didn’t just share his faith, he lived it before everyone around him.  He was always ready to help someone, be an encourager to a friend, or do whatever he felt lead by Jesus to do.

Cash was blessed with a magnetic personality that attracted people; consequently, he made friends wherever he went.  He loved hanging out with family and friends.  Cash enjoyed snowboarding in Colorado, riding his recently acquired dirt bike, going boating and hunting.  Cash’s competitive side lead to games of “Extreme” spoons with his siblings.  He was a meticulous housekeeper, and likewise, kept his truck spotlessly clean and maintained. His pickup was one of his most treasured earthly belongings. He installed many “fun buttons” as his friends teasingly named them, in his truck himself.

He is survived by his mother, Alicea Mullins; his siblings, Keira Mullins, Taos Mullins and Trinity Mullins of Shallowater; his grandparents, Beverly and Charles Bennett of Portales; an aunt and uncle, Brittany and Jerrad Hofstetter of Shallowater; an aunt, Shalei Bennett of Blum, TX; his cousins, Harley, Hayze and Hattie Hofstetter as well as Kolt and Landree Bennett; and a bonus grandmother, Glennis Erramouspe of Clovis, New Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his father, Justin Mullins in November of 2021.
