On Oct 27, 2012 in Portales, he was married to Charlene LaNell Smith, and raised her son, Tanner and daughter, Ayla.  Chris was a loving husband, Dad, Son Brother and Uncle.  He loved playing games of all sorts from cards and board games to role playing games.  He spent many hours painting models for his games.  He gathered his friends close to him, and created worlds for them to play in.  He loved Halloween, and creating haunted houses.  Classic Rock was his genre of choice when it came to music.  Chris had a big heart, and was constantly taking in a friend and helping them get back on their feet.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene of their home; three sons, Tanner Stokes of Portales, Bailey Saline of Stafford, VA and Koby Saline of Moriarty, NM; two daughters, Ayla Stoke of Portales and Kaula Steufen of KY; two grandchildren, Bladyn Stuefen and Olivia Saline; his parents, Richelle "Riki" and William Seat of Portales; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony Michael "Tony" Seat and Catherine of Albuquerque; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
