Clark Allen Seales

Services for Clark Seales, 86, of Portales will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 23 in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with  Pastor Hayden Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Larry Seales, Jarrod Seales, Tom Ingle, Bryan Luce, Bobby Luce, Tyler Luce, Dink Looney, and Doug Seales serving as pallbearers,  All other family and friends will be honorary pallbearers.

Clark A. Seales was born on February 24, 1939, in Muleshoe, Texas to the home of Bert & Thelma Seales.  He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Coronado Care Center in Portales on August 18, 2025.

Clark attended school in Muleshoe through the 12th grade. He met the love of his life, Charlene Luce at a church function in Arch, NM.  They were married on October 30, 1957 in Muleshoe.  Their road trip began...Keith Seales was born on November 4, 1958 and Kevin Seales was born on November 1, 1959.

Clark was a farmer, working for his dad when he married Charlene.  They moved to California where he worked in a foundry and a restaurant dishwasher, later moving to Oregon for a brief period.  Then on to Arizona, the comfort and knowledge of farming never left his blood for the next 10+ years.  They moved back to Muleshoe where he worked as maintenance at Friona Beef.  They moved back to Arizona this time running a grain elevator for another 10 years.  They moved to Portales working on the ethanol plant for Reliant out of Odessa, TX.  He then started trucking for Reliant, hauling CO2 until approximately 77 years of age.  He then became shop manager for Reliant at their Pampa, TX location.  He retired at the age of 80.

Clark was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Seales, daughter-in-law Paulene Seales, his parents Bert & Thelma Seales, and siblings Don Seales, Walter Seales, Billy Seales, Bertie Mae Purcell and Ruby (Chubby) Douglass.

He is survived by two sons, Keith & Margaret Seales and Kevin Seales; grandchildren, Robbie Derk, Heather Dupuis & husband Jeremy, Rodney Seales & wife Lindsey, Doug Seales & wife Nkoshe, Tina & Phil Chemali; great grandchildren, Kayla Derk, Hannah Dupuis, Liam and Ronan Seales, Andrew and Kierra Seales, Phelipe and Jessica Chemali; three brothers Kenneth Seales, Jimmy Seales & Leon Seales; two sisters, Ruth Ingall and Mary Barnett.

Clark had a wonderful life, full of adventure and surrounded by people who loved and respected him.  When not working, he loved to go to the lake and fish with his family.
