Donna Lynn Martinez

A Rosary service will be held for Donna Lynn Martinez at 2:00 PM, Sat., Mar. 19, 2022 in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel.

Donna Lynn Martinez was born Sept. 16, 1984 in Amarillo, TX to Adella Ruiz and Nick Martinez and died at her home in Portales on Mar. 10, 2022.  Donna grew up in Portales, and was a 2002 graduate of Portales High School.  She became a mother while she was still in high school, but persevered to graduate with honors.  Her home was always the place where her family gathered for dinners and events.  She was a peace maker, and wanted people to get along with each other.  She loved cooking, and cleaning and making a pleasant home for her family.  She enjoyed babysitting for various youngsters, as well as doing crafts.  She also liked to dance.

She is survived by a son, Julian Terrazas of Lubbock, TX; a daughter, Unika Terrazas of Albuquerque, NM; her father, Nick Martinez of Amarillo, TX; and three sisters, Matilda Ruiz of Portales, Elizabeth Martinez of Amarillo, TX and Sandy Martinez of Tulsa, OK.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Adella Ruiz and by her brother, Nick Martinez.
