Edwin Zack Burrow

     A graveside service for Edwin Burrow, 74, of Portales, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Portales Cemetery with Pastor Dustin Burrow & Jim Hellums officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be San Skinner, Tom Ogilvie, Mark Morrow, Robert Gomez, Russell Hardisty, Shawn Burrow and Tommy Tucker.

     Edwin Zack Burrow was born on November 15, 1950, in Portales, to Mary Frances (Carlisle) and Laurence Dell Burrow and passed away on December 21, 2024, in Portales.

     Ed Burrow was born and raised in Portales where he attended high school.  He started working as a truck driver at age 15 and continued driving trucks his entire life.  He married Ronda Kay Gentry in February of 1983.  Ed enjoyed talking to people, listening to old country music and he loved to dance.  He enjoyed watching the rodeo and loved classic cars and trucks.  He was a very kind person who would give you the shirt off his back.

     Edwin Burrow was a good man and a great husband, father and grandfather.  He loved to spend as much time as he could with his grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

     Survivors include his wife of almost 42 years, Ronda Gentry; his children, Ty Burrow & Amber of Albuquerque, Jana Burrow of Lubbock, Shawn Burrow of Fredericksburg, VA and Stephanie Parker & Stephen of Mission Viejo, CA; a brother, L.D. Burrow & Debbie of Portales; a sister, Gale Hellums & Jim of Watkinsville, GA; grandchildren, Chance, Channing, Brennan, Cassidie, Tyler, Jordan, J-Lee, Raven, Jazper and Quinn; ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
