Emiliano Jasso was born Jan. 23, 1943 in Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico to the home of Jesusita (Chavez) and Monico Jasso and died Dec. 31, 2021 in El Paso, TX.  Mr. Jasso was married to Emma Navarrete on July 3, 1965 in Coyame, Mexico.  They came to stay in the United States in 1969, and settled in Elida in 1978.  At that time, he began working as the custodian for the Elida Schools.  Mr. Jasso retired in 2008, after 30 years.  Mr. Jasso was an extremely friendly man, and never met a stranger.  During those 30 years, he made countless friends.  He was "Dad" and "Grandpa" to several generations of young people.  He loved watching all of them play ball, and "coached" every one of them.  On weekends Mr. Jasso worked on various local farms and ranches.

Mr. Jasso was an avid sports fan.  He loved basketball, and liked watching everything from Little Dribblers to the NBA.  Baseball was another sport that he liked to watch being played.  The game was even more special if one of his grandchildren or great-grandchildren was playing.  Mr. Jasso had quite a collection of records of the Spanish "Oldies."  He was a very kind, gentle and humble man, and taught all of his children to be the same.  He simply loved everyone he knew.

He is survived by his children, Raul Jasso of Crossroads, NM, Anna and Lorenzo Diaz of Elida, Manuel and Ofelia Jasso, Jr. and Carmina Jasso and Andy and Amanda Jasso all of Elida; 13 grandchildren, Tyler Jasso, Brady (T'Layna) Jasso, Britnie Powell, Nicole (Levi) Miller, Ethan Jasso, Kaylen Jasso, Randy (Makayla) Jasso, Karisma Jasso, Aaron Jasso, Faith Jasso, Isaac Jasso, Jonathan (Lyz) Diaz and Cristopher Diaz; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Pilar Jasso of Hobbs, NM and Martin Jasso of Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Francisco Jasso, a sister, Socorro Rodriguez, a grandson, Brennen Jasso who died Dec. 23, 2014 and by his beloved wife, Emma who died April 19, 2015.
