Ernest Lynn Hall, 78 of Portales finished his journey and passed at his home on May 12, 2024. He was born May 22, 1945, to Harold Ernest Hall and Oneida Cranford. He enjoyed many things in life, a few were ranching, motorcycles, mountain scenery, reading UFO and Big Foot Stories and hanging out with his longtime friend Jay Ball.
He was a good man who kept to himself. He was good to people and appreciated their kindness to him. He loved cowboy movies, old country music, shooting his guns, watching Bonanza, and Gunsmoke. He made it known that John Wayne was his hero.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, one brother, Harold Wayne Hall, his only Son, Austin Lynn Hall, two nephews Harold and Kenny Hall and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and very good friend, Karen McDermott also, several other good friends in his life, including of the best furry companions that meant the world to him, Mr. Ace and Miss Penny
He is survived by his Daughter Laurie Hall (Larry), Rhonda Davis (Vernie), Ashley Lopez (Johnny) and Gary Southern. He had many grandchildren. Austina Hall, Justin Hall, Cheyenne Hall, Mauricio Vidana, Victoria Montoya, Shaylynn McKelvey, Angel Collins. Aubrey Miles, Braylon Miles, Carly Lopez, Johnny Davis, Ashton Davis, Vonnie Banther, Jenny Montiel, Rachel Taylor, Vernie Davis Jr. Three Great Grandsons, Nicholas Hall, Christian Hall, Hunter Hall and one great granddaughter Liliana Lara. He has a niece Tammy Elkins of Montana, friends who loved helping and visiting with him, Valerie Martin, William Qualls, Joshua Martin, Judy Southern, and his friendly neighbors at Portales Estates.
He will be missed by many who loved him. We can “Only Imagine” the smile on his face when he saw his maker and loved ones.
A memorial service will be held on: June 1st, 2024, from 2pm-4pm at Portales Estates Community Room 1903 South Avenue I Office H5 Bldg.
