Frances Maye (Lott) Wall

Frances Maye Wall was born Mar. 14, 1946 in Portales to the home of Martha Evelyn (Hodges) and Emmitt Houston Lott, and died Jan. 25, 2024 at her home in Portales at the age of 77.  Ms Wall was will be laid to rest in the family plot in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Ms Wall was a 1964 graduate of Dora High School, and went on to attend Eastern New Mexico University for a short time.  On Feb. 17, 1968 she was married to Jimmy Wall.  The couple had two sons together.  At various times, Ms. Wall worked doing home health care.

Frances enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play basketball and baseball and other sporting activities.  When she was at home she enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. 

Mrs Wall is survived by her sons, James and his wife Lettie Wall and Houston Wall of Portales; and two grandchildren, Owen and Austin Wall; as well as by her companion, Donnie Hightower.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Freddy Lott.
