Gary Juan Eskew

Gary Juan Eskew passed away January 3, 2025, in Portales, NM at the age of 77 years. He was born in Hereford, Texas, on June 5, 1947 to Juan and Thelma Eskew.

Gary grew up on a farm north of Clovis where he farmed with his Dad. Through the years he also worked at Plateau Cooperative in Clovis. 

He enjoyed a life of faith in God, and attended the Assembly of God Church in Logan, New Mexico where he currentely lived. He loved being outside, either fishing or being at the lake and especially loved watching his Green Bay Packers. 

Gary will be missed by his daughter, Trindy Valdez of Portales, his son, Lance Eskew of Flagstaff, AZ, and his daughters Shanelle Benton and Shestie Gentry. He also leaves his grandchildren and several cousins.  

Preceding Gary in death was his wife of 34 years, Vickie Eskew, who passed away in August, his parents, Juan & Thelma Eskew and a daughter, Sharmon Hand.

Services have not been scheduled at this time.
