Glen Sutton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Glen Ray Sutton, who left us on November 9, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas, just days before his 57th birthday. Glen was born on November 17, 1968, in Mendota, Illinois, to Glen McStoots and Deborah Henry. At 16, he was adopted by Larry Sutton — a bond that became a lasting part of who he was.
Glen lived a life filled with laughter, love, and loyalty. He had a quick wit, a stubborn streak, and a heart that always made room for others. Family meant everything to him, and he took immense pride in being “Dad” and “Papa.” He leaves behind his daughters — Sarah Kinlund (Alan Kinlund), Megan Rutherford (Dustin Rutherford), and Lane Beliveau (Roland Beliveau) — and his beloved
grandchildren: Adler, Ledger, Carver, Audree, Troy, Emma, Paislee, Erin, and Kristin. He adored each of them and loved to brag about their accomplishments, big and small. Glen is also survived by his father, Glen McStoots; sister, Dawn Holt; and brothers, Jason McStoots, Bryan Sutton, Thomas Brown, and Larry Sutton. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces, Baylee Medlock and Haven Cassady; his nephews, Matthew Holt, Troy Holt, and Johnny Cassady; and his girlfriend, Norma Briscoe, who brought light and companionship to his final days.
Glen was married to Laura Sutton from 1968 to 2023, and together they built a family full of memories, challenges, and love that will always endure. Those who knew Glen will remember his sense of humor, his big heart, and his way of making everyone feel like family. Whether he was telling a story, lending a hand, or cracking a joke, he had a way of leaving a mark on every life he touched.
His family takes comfort in knowing that while he’s gone from this world, his love, laughter, and strength will live on through all of us.
