Ivan Carrillo

Funeral services for Ivan Carrillo, 44, of Portales will be held at 10:00 AM, Tues., July 28, 2026 at Iglesia Evangelica de Dios en Cristo Jesus, 1200 N. Main with Pastor Raymond Carrillo officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Michael Loya, Juan Bustamante, Roy Carrillo, Luis Angel Nanez, Elicio Sanchez and Scott Garcia serving as pallbearers.

Ivan Carrillo was born July 12, 1982 in Denver City, Texas to Magdelina Carrillo, and passed from this life on July 21, 2026 at his home in Portales.  Ivan grew up in Portales.  After leaving high school, Ivan began working in construction doing framing and concrete work.  In 2022, he moved to Pensacola, FL where he was married to Lorretta Mary Munoz on August 13, 2023.  While living in Florida, Ivan worked as a roofer.  He enjoyed fishing off of the docks and spending time with his wife’s grandson.  In Portales he valued his time with his mother, and siblings and his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Lorretta; a grandson, Kane Morin; his mother, Magdelina Rodriguez of Portales; a brother, David Carrillo of Portales; and four sisters, Erica Carrillo of Portales, Felicita Viegas of Abilene, TX, Florentina Balbuena of Snyder, TX and Fidela  and Raul Ramirez of Clovis.  He was preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodriguez who died in 2011 as well as a nephew Nemiah Montoya.
