Jennifer Gayle Foster

A memorial service for Jennifer Foster, 47, of Portales will be held at 1:00 PM, Sat., Dec. 4, 2021 at the Southside Church of Christ in Portales.

Jennifer Gayle Foster was born Feb. 2, 1974 in Kennewick, WA to Carolyn Louise Foster, and died at her home early on the morning of Nov. 24, 2021.  Her early years were spent in the Tri Cities area of Washington state.  Jennifer graduated from high school in Pilot Rock, OR in 1992.  Over the next several years she moved several times in the northwestern part of the U.S.  She finally moved to Dumas, TX where she lived for several years.  Jennifer worked for a number of years at WalMart, and then in convenience stores until her health would no longer permit.  She loved music, as well as reading and writing poetry.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.  For a period of time she was a resident at Hope Haven in Portales, and attended Southside Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Isaiah Foster of the home; four daughters, Sydney Porter of Pendleton, OR, Alesandra Avila, Jasmier Avila and Isabela Avila all of Portales; four grandchilren, Zaniel Villegas, Evelette Villegas, Oakley Lane James, and Ellie Porter; and by her mother, Carolyn Foster of Portales.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Kyle Paul Rosencrans, a daughter, Angel Flores, her father, John Rosencrans, and her grandparents Kathy and Joe Foster.
