A graveside service for Joe Montano, 63, of Portales will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Monday, April 18, 2022, in the Portales Cemetery with Pastor Delmus Gillis officiating. Jessie Romero, Gilbert Montano, Isidro Watson, Joe Montoya, Ernesto Garcia, Cody Guss, Hunter Guss and Justin Guss will serve as pallbearers.
Joe Montano was born on July 30, 1958, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to the home of Francis (Gonzales) and Eugene Montano, and died on April 12, 2022, Portales.
Joe attended South Public Schools in Las Vegas, NM. His hobbies were painting houses, tinkering with and on cars, camping and playing musical instruments.
Joe is survived by his wife, Angie Montano; his children, Adolph Montano, LaShelle Gammon and Amy Watson; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild, and his brothers, Elmer Montano and Gilbert Montano.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Adolph Montano and Ernest Montano.
