Letha Opal (Green) Thompson

Graveside services for Letha (Green) Thompson, 95, will be held at 1:00P.M., on Monday, May 16, 2022, in the Floyd Cemetery, Floyd, NM.

Letha Thompson was born on May 24, 1926, near Bluitt, NM to the home of Bernice M. Green and Mamie F. Green.  She spent nearly her whole life in Roosevelt County. She graduated high school from Lingo High School, Lingo, NM in 1944.  She attended Eastern New Mexico University.  She was a member of The Church of Christ.  She was also a very accomplished artist.

Letha married Clarence Thompson on December 30, 1945, and had been married 76 years on their anniversary December 30, 2021.

Letha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sheila Thompson of Lubbock, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bob Wiggins of Lakeview, TX; a son, Lyndell Thompson; five grandsons; one granddaughter; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a brother, Beryl Green; her husband of 76 years, Clarence, and numerous other family and friends.

Letha was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; a son, David; her parents; two brothers, and four sisters.
