El Rosario para Luciano Rodriguez Morales de 77 anos de Portales sera recitado a las 9:00 a.m. el Lunes 7 de Junio de 2021 en la Iglesia Catolica Sta. Helena en Portales.  La Misa de resurrection sera a las 10:00 a.m. con el Padre Francsico Carbajal. El sepelio sera en el Cementerio de Portales. Los portadores del feretro seran Juan Luciano Rodriguez, Gaston Terrazas, Roberto Meza, Adrian Meza, Leonardo Villegas y Manuel Villegas.

Luciano Rodriguez Morales nacio el 30 de Junio del 1943 en Villa Viejo, Durango, Mexico.  Sus padres fueron Maria de Jesus Morales y Santiago Rodriguez.  El Senor Rodriguez Morales iva y venia de Mexico hacia Estados Unidos hasta el ano 1979 cuando trajo a su familia a Muleshoe, TX.  En el 1981 se mudo a Portales. En los proximos anos trabajo en varios ranchos. El Senor Rodriguez Morales se jubilo despues de ver caido enfermo en el 2008.

El Senior Rodriguez Morales contrajo matrimonio con Maria de Lourdes Reza.  Le encantaba cantar, tocar su guitara y su accordion.

A el Senor Rodriguez Morales le subreviven su esposa, Maria de Lourdes Reza de Rodriguez de Portales, un hijo Juan Luciano y Elizabeth Rodriguez de Portales, 5 hijas y 4 yernos, Maria de Jesus Rodriguez y su esposo Carlos Sanchez de Smyrna, TN, Maria Lucina y Roberto Meza de Amarillo, TX, Maria Valentina y Manuel Villegas de Amarillo, TX, Maria de Lourdes y Gaston Terrazas de Portales y Gabriela Rodriguez de Portales, 16 nietos/nietas y 4 bisnietos; un hermano Jose Diego Rodriguez Morales de Durango, Mexico; un medio hermano, Santiago Rodriguez de Georgia, y tres medias hermanas, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Yolanda Rodriguez y Luisa Rodriguez todos de Durango, Mexico.  El Senor fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres y por un hijo Cesar Guillermo Rodriguez.

The Rosary for Luciano Rodriguez Morales, 77, of Portales, will be recited at 9:00 AM, Mon., June 7, 2021 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Portales.  The Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Juan Luciano Rodriguez, Gaston Terrazas, Roberto Meza, Adrian Meza, Leonardo Villegas and Manuel Villegas serving as pallbearers.

Luciano Rodriguez Morales was born June 30, 1943 in Villa Viejo, Durango, Mexico to the home of Maria de Jesus Morales and Santiago Rodriguez, and died at his home in Portales early on the morning of June 2, 2021.  Mr. Rodriguez Morales came back and forth between Mexico and the United States to do seasonal farm work until 1979, when he brought his family to Muleshoe, TX to live.  In 1981, he moved to Portales.  Over the next several years he worked on various local farms in Muleshoe, TX and Portales, NM.  For a time, he even worked as a bouncer at Los Arcos.  His last job was at Anderson Dairy. He had been retired since becoming ill in 2008.

On Nov. 20, 1968 in Durango, Mexico, he was married to Maria de Lourdes Reza.  He enjoyed singing, and playing his guitar and accordion.

He is survived by his wife, Maria de Lourdes Reza de Rodriguez of Portales; a son and daughter-in-law, Juan Luciano and Elizabeth Rodriguez of Portales; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Maria de Jesus Rodriguez and husband, Carlos Sanchez of Smyrna, TN, Maria Lucina and Roberto Meza of Amarillo, TX, Maria Valentina and Manuel Villegas of Amarillo, TX, Maria de Lourdes and Gaston Terrazas of Portales and Gabriela Rodriguez of Portales; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jose Diego Rodriguez Morales of Durango, Mexico; a step-brother, Santiago Rodriguez of Georgia; and three step-sisters, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Yolanda Rodriguez and Luisa Rodriguez all of Durango, Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Cesar Guillermo Rodriguez.
