Luther Alvin Nutt

Graveside services for Luther Nutt, 83, of Portales, will be held at 11:00 AM, Sat., Mar. 27, 2021 in the Elida Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Moore officiating, Justin Nutt, Buddy Nutt, Vester Nutt, Stephen Nutt, Wayne Nutt, and Robert Haack serving as pallbearers.  Those desiring to make memorial contributions may send them to the American Cancer Society, P O Box 1856, Clovis, NM 88102.

Luther Alvin Nutt was born Dec. 9, 1937 in Broken Bow, OK, to the home of Elizabeth (Collum) and Robert Newt Nutt, and died on the evening of Mar. 20, 2021 at his home in Portales.  Mr. Nutt drove a gravel truck for Lanny Trucking and also drove for Jack Dendy.  He enjoyed dancing and watching western movies.  Mr. Nutt and his friend Rex Jackson liked going to auctions together.

He is survived by a son, Chris Nutt of Locust Grove, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Shiela and Calvin Patzkie of Roswell, NM; four grandchildren, Zaccari, Justis, Megan and Robert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parentes, six brothers, James, Vester, Lee, Bobby, Johnnie and Charles Nutt; two sisters, Dorothy Morris and Lona Marie Nutt, who died as an infant; and by a son, Luke Nutt.
