Manuel Albino Gallegos, Jr.

The Rosary for Manuel Gallegos, Jr. will be recited at 9:00 AM, Wed., Feb. 25, 2026, at St. Helen Catholic Church.  Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating.  Burial will be in the Portales Cemetery with Leo Ortega, Daniel Gallegos, Anthony Gallegos, Spencer Roach, Joe Manuel Sigala and Fabian Gallegos serving as pallbearers.

Manuel Albino Gallegos, Jr. was born August 14, 1973 in Portales to the home of Yolanda (Salas) and Manuel Albino Gallegos and died Feb.. 13, 2026 in Tulsa, OK where he had been living for the past several years.  Manuel grew up in Portales, and after high school, he worked in construction as a welder.  He had been disabled due to an injury for the past 10 years.  He enjoyed tinkering with things and could make something useful out of virtually anything.

He is survieved by two sons, Daniel Gallegos of Portales and Alejandro Montoya of Albuquerque; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mia and Spencer Roach of Portales and Abbigail Gallegos of Clovis; two grandchildren, Levi Gallegos and Ivy Lee Roach; his father, Manuel Gallegos of Portales; and a sister, Delores and Thomas Estrada of Plainview, TX.  He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Patricia "Debbie" Gallegos who died Nov. 18, 2022.
