Monica Diaz

Monica Delfina Diaz (Mona, Mo, Mama Diaz) passed away at the age of 60 in Portales NM on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
She was born to Ruth Ontiveros in El Paso Texas on December 24th 1964.
Monica was survived in death by her husband Oscar Diaz Sr. Her kids Oscar and Andrea Diaz, Miriam Ontiveros, Aaron and Laci Diaz and Monique Diaz. Her grandchildren Makayla Rae Carter, Khai and Sage Diaz, Alex Diaz, Aiden Barreraz, Roen Diaz, Jocelyn Carrillo and Emme Diaz. She was also survived by her 4 brothers and her 4 sisters as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Monica was proceeded in death by her mother, Ruth Ontiveros. Her grandparents Lydia and Lorenzo Sanchez and Virginia and Alfonso Ontiveros, and her uncle Antonio Sanchez.

In her time with us, she enjoyed gardening, artistic activities, spending time with her grandkids and her dog Logan, as well as serving Jehovah.

Services for Monica will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 2 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. The address is 1220 East 3rd St Portales NM. If you cant attend please reach out to a family member for zoom link information.
