Naomi Deene (Bilberry) Rollinson

 Naomi, lovingly known to many as “Tobie,” was born on May 14, 1938, in Lingo, NM, and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2025. A memorial service celebrating her life and faith will be held on September 27th at 10:30 a.m., with Jamey Baldwin officiating at Floyd Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service at the Floyd Cemetery.

Raised in Floyd, NM, Naomi attended Floyd Schools, where she was active in sports and cheerleading. After graduating, she met and married Sid Rollinson, beginning a life centered on family and love. They first made their home in New Orleans, La., before Naomi returned to her beloved roots in eastern New Mexico. She lived many years in Portales and later spent eight cherished years in the mountains of Ruidoso, NM, a place she dearly loved. In her later years, as her health declined, she moved to Clovis, NM, to be close to family, where she remained surrounded by love until her passing.

Naomi was a woman of steadfast faith, whose compassion and generosity touched many. She gave freely of her time in service to others, always extending kindness wherever she could. This included volunteering as a Foster Grandmother at James Elementary where the children loved their “Grandma Deene”, and making Christmas pillows for nursing home residents over the years.  She found joy in sewing and gardening, but her greatest joy was found in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives she nurtured with unwavering love.

She worked faithfully at the ENMU Post Office for many years as a window clerk, where her warmth and friendliness left a lasting impression on both students and staff.

Naomi is survived by her three children and their families: Steve (Tonya) Rollinson, Pamela Dement, and Tina (Eddie) Overturf. She was a devoted grandmother to Cody (Kim) Russell, Lyndsey Russell, Jason (Tamara) Miller, Hailey (Jeremiah) Hedman, Ian Rollinson, and Madison Rollinson. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren: Nora Russell, Abbi Russell, Jaiden Miller, Dravan Miller, Jaxon Miller, Romi Russell, Greta Russell, and Harrison Hedman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Naomi Bilberry; six brothers, Truman, Stanley, Rodney, Joe, Bud, and Basil; and two sisters, Lavelle Kent and Natha Rolan.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care given by Mom’s special helper, Janayah Rodriguez, and her Hospice nurse, Sam—true angels on earth who blessed her with comfort and dignity.
