Natividad A (Abong) Cava

A graveside service for Natividad A. Cava, 74, of Portales will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 13,2021 at the Portales Cemetery with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating. 

Natividad Abong Cava was born on December 24, 1946 in Zambales, Philippines to the home of Juana (Villalobos) and Maximo Abong, and died on January 8, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.  She grew up in the Philippines and married Martin Cava on March 5, 1968 in the Philippines.  They moved to the United States in 2001.  Natividad worked at Joselyn's Daycare for 20 years.  She enjoyed watching Korean movies.  She loved to read the Bible, attending Bible Study and loved serving the Lord.

She is survived by her children, Robert Cava, Joselyn Lampkins, Dorothy Oriente and husband Rolando, Maribeth Cava and Norbelit Mercado and husband Armando; thirteen grandchildren, Rachelle Chiong, Raymart Cava, Christine Joy, Ricky Cava, Ralph Cava, William Lampkins, Roland Oriente, Roy Oriente, Zane Oriente, Reymel Cruz, Roxanne Cruz, Keenhet Mercado and Kent Mercado; four great grandchildren, three brothers, Lucio Abong, Armando Abong and Ruben Abong, and one sister, Bella Fernandez.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin and her parents, Juana and Maximo Abong.
