Patricia Ann Smith was born May 19, 1955 in Baltimore, MD to the home of Jenny Lynn (Parker) and Victor Gus Peranio and died Mar. 8, 2025 in Portales, NM at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 17 days.
Mrs. Smith grew up in Maryland where she graduated from high school and attended college. I 1983, she and her husband established King’s Way Pools in Kent Island, MD. Because there was better opportunity for building pools in TX, they relocated to Arlington, TX in the 1990’s.
She loved the water, and enjoyed “crabbing” and fishing as well as any water sports. Patricia also loved horses. She was an active member of the Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie where she was the AWANAS teacher. Family was extremely important to her, and Sundays were always reserved for family get togethers.
In 2018, she moved to Portales, NM to be near her daughter and her family. For a short time, she was employed as the Activities Director at St. Anthony Health Care in Clovis.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Richard Barnett of Clovis, NM; four daughters, Mia Archer Shee of Easton, MD, Jenna Smith of Portales, NM, Samantha Phillips of Wylie, TX and Dana Smith of Arlington, NM; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Vince, Vic, Mike and Rocky Peranio all of Maryland.
No formal services are planned at this time.
