Paul Edward Hendricks was born April 10, 1950 in Clovis, NM to the home of Mary Nan (Ross) and Carroll Cordell Hendricks, and died peacefully at his home on Aug. 18, 2021. Paul grew up in Clovis where he was a 1968 graduate of Clovis High School. He attended West Texas State University until he was drafted into the U.S. Army to serve in Vietnam. Following his discharge, Paul found work as a carpenter in the construction industry, a trade at which he excelled and one that he continued into his later years as he built furniture.
Paul enjoyed the outdoors, and would often recount his fond memories of hunting and fishing around the Roswell, New Mexico area. Family and friends found out the hard way that he was also an exceptional billiards player! Later in life, he was a voracious reader and found pleasure in talking about novels with his family. Paul had spent the past several years being a caretaker for a good friend.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Shawn and Sarah Hendricks and Joshua Hendricks both of Sherman, TX and Timothy "T. J." Hendricks of Clovis, NM; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and Alex Costa of Clovis, NM and Cassandra and Ryan Jones of Acworth, GA; nine grandchildren, David “DJ”, Abigail, Kaylie, Gage, Alexis, Allison, Emily, Ainsley and Rylee; two great-grandchildren, Willow and Liam Hamilton; and two brothers, Jodie Hendricks of Loury, VA and David Hendricks of Ada, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents.
