Raymond Joseph "Pampo" Urioste

The Rosary for Raymond Joseph "Pampo" Urioste, 61, of Portales, will be recited at 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 18, 2019 in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel.  Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 19 with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating and Deacon Daniel Chavez assisting. Burial will take place in the Portales Cemetery with Larry Urioste, Florencio Urioste, Daniel Lopez, Jr., Alex Garcia, Marco Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Isaac Arias and Brandon Birkholz serving as pallbearers. Louis Urioste, James Urioste and all of his grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.

Raymond Joseph "Pampo" Urioste was born on October 16, 1957 in Portales, NM to the home of Mary Maude "Molly" (Marquez) and Louis O. Urioste, Sr. and departed this life on July 14, 2019 in Amarillo, TX. 

Raymond grew up and attended schools in Portales.  He was a very hard worker.  Raymond worked with his father laying carpet throughout the area for more than 35 years. He loved playing Bingo as well as collecting 1957 Chevy Collector's cars.  Raymond loved his family especially the grandkids.

Raymond is survived by his former wife Gloria Urioste of Portales; four daughters, Cila Garcia of Clovis, Amy Urioste and husband Daniel Lopez, Janette Urioste and husband Brandon Birkholz and Corina Urioste and husband Isaac Arias all of Portales; his mother, Molly Urioste of Portales; his brothers, Louis Urioste Jr., James Urioste and wife Elizabeth of Dallas, TX, Larry Urioste and Florencio Urioste all of Portales; two sisters, Kathy Urioste and Veda Urioste, both of Portales, thirteen grandchildren, Daniel, Alex, Marco, Riana, Ezequiel, Jernie, Jazmine, Izaiyah, Raymond, Nevaeh, Nathaniel, Isaac, Jr. and Ariana, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Urioste, Sr. and his mother and father-in-law, Corrine and Pete Coralez, Sr.
