Valinda Wilson was born on June 5, 1967, in Portales, New Mexico, to the home of Billie Jean (Gibbs) and Earl Leon Walker, and died January 6, 2022, in Portales.
Valinda grew up in Santa Rosa. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern New Mexico University. She married Alva Danny Wilson on July 18, 1987, in Portales. She worked as a bookkeeper for CRSMA for many years. She loved working on the ranch in Grady with her husband Danny. She also worked at the meal site in Melrose for a few years and at the House Coop where she really enjoyed the people. She was a member of the Grady Auxiliary Club for a few years but was a stay at home mom for the majority of her kids' lives. Valinda was a devoted mom; her and the kids may have been late but they never missed a practice or a game. Her giggle was infectious often causing her to laugh so hard her face would turn red and tears would stream down her face.
Valinda is survived by her husband of 34 years, Danny Wilson; her son, Tyrel Wilson & fiancée Laura Bracken; her daughter, Cala Wilson Trudo & husband Troy; five siblings, Brenda & PJ Van Dyke, Lewis & Lisa Walker, Brent Walker, Glenda Walker and Mark & Dawn Walker; her in-laws, Martha & "Butch" Wilson and Ricky & Amy Wilson, and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie & Earl Walker and her grandparents.
