Virginia Fern (Craig) Hopingardner

     Funeral services for Virginia Fern Craig Smith Adams Hopingardner, 88, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Floyd Cemetery with Zach Lara, Ryan Craig, Jason Adams, Russell Craig, Randall Craig and Ricky Knowles serving as pallbearers.

     The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Wheeler Mortuary.   

     Virginia Fern Craig Smith Adams Hopingardner was born on May 24, 1931, near Floyd, New Mexico to the home of Jessie Evaline (James) and John Dean Craig and passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on March 3, 2020 in Clovis, New Mexico. 

     Jenny was a talented artist whose work has been displayed in galleries, businesses and private homes throughout the country.

      Virginia "Jenny" is survived by her son, David Adams and wife Pam of Vancouver, WA; her daughters, Mildred Bookout and husband Norval of Tularosa, NM, Joy Phillips of Las Vegas, NV, Charlotte Adams of Clovis, NM, Victoria Wenzel of Yorktown, VA and Valorie Urban of Manistee, MI; 26 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters, Dean Craig of Floyd, NM, Lloyd Craig of Portales, NM, Thomas Craig of Deming, NM, Marion "Bud" Craig of El Paso, TX, George "Joe" Craig of Nebraska, Juanita Knight of Portales, NM, Martha Knowles of Clovis, NM, Vada Craig of Portales, NM and Nora "Sarah" Price of Portales, NM, sons, Elmer Adams of Hilo, HI, Robert Adams South Hazelton, BC Canada, Jack Adams of Comanche, TX and John Adams of Hudson, CO and daughter, Marita Kaufman of Huntsville, AL.
