Wanda Victoria (Rodriguez) Siles Rios

Wanda Victoria Siles Rios was born June 22, 1960 in Artesia, NM to Sally Baeza Rodriguez, and died in Clovis, NM on the evening of Oct. 26, 2025.  Her early years were spent in Maple, TX, Muleshoe, TX and finally Lovington, NM.  In 1977, she moved to Roosevelt County, and graduated from Dora High School in 1978.  She went on to attend Eastern New Mexico University for two years.

Her first employment was as a secretary for Community Services.  She worked closely with Delores Penrod, and together they began the Fiesta de los Familias, which is held annually in Lindsay Park. Following her employment there, she served as the Executive Director for the Literacy Council.  Her next place of employment was at the Re-integration center, where young men were re-established into society.  Her final employment was with the Help Center in Clovis helping with food and rent vouchers.  She also worked closely with the peanut and potato producers.  She had been retired since 2002.  For relaxation she enjoyed sewing and cooking, but her greatest joy came in just being able to help other people get the things they needed.

On Feb 22, 2024 in Portales, she was married to Johnny Siles Rios.  She is survied by her husband of their home; a son, Chyee Lewis Rodriguez of Las Cruces, NM; a daughter, Crystal Rodriguez and spouse Dasmi Contreras of Portales; six grandchildren, Zoyla, Juanita and Carlotta Ramos, Armando Torres, Kenneth Wayne Stallings, Juanita Ramos and Obed Rodríguez ; and three great-grandchildren, Armando Torres, Jr., Kenneth Wayne Stallings, IV and Zoe Laliani Rodriguez; a brother, Toby Rodriguez of Oklahoma; and a sister, Lataine Rodriguez of Roswell.  She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Jerry Rodriguez.
