William Alfred Reese, III

Funeral services for William "Bill" Reese, III, 52, of Portales, will be held at 2:00 PM, Mon., Feb. 22, 2021 at the Arch Baptist Church, Arch, NM with Rev. Brian Tabor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Charley Reese, Dusty Reese, Arturo Manquero, Dalton Reese, Dylan Reese and J. W. Carmichael serving as pallbearers.  Chance Roberts and Adam "Japo" Gutierrez will serve as honorary pallbearers.

William Alfred Reese, III was born Mar. 18, 1968, in Littlefield, TX to the home of Karen Ann (Meeks) and William Alfred Reese, Jr., and died Feb. 12, 2021 in Lubbock, TX.  "Little Bill," as he was known to many of his friends, grew up in Portales.  As a young man he was involved in gymnastics.  Bill drove trucks all of his adult life.  Through the years he had worked for several different trucking companies.  His current employment was with RUAN Trucking.  Bill always enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially liked to go camping and fishing with them.

He is survived by his companion, Sheena Sordahl of Portales; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Clayton and Cassie Reese of Atlanta, GA and Rodney Reese of WA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Charla and Devin Eubanks and Ellen Tanner both of Lucedale, MS; three grandchildren, Georgia Kate and Adalyn Tanner and Cade Reese; two step-sons, Max and Maki Sordahl and two step-daughters, Maiya Sordahl and Martie "Penny" Holguin; his father, William A. Reese, Jr. of Arch, NM; his mother and step-father, Karen and Cliff Gregory of Purcell, OK; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charley and Jennie Reese of Petersburg, TX, Heath and Kathryn Gregory of Wills Point, TX and Dusty and Cherissa Reese of Arch, NM; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bobbie and Scott Christian of Purcell, OK, Kathy Reese of Portales, NM and Kandie and Bud Thompson of Childress, TX.
